We are pleased to welcome lawyer Sejal Amin to our team here in Shepparton. Sejal (who prefers “Sej”) will be working on our Therapeutic Justice partnership with Primary Care Connect. Together with a full-time case worker, Sej will facilitate targeted and effective responses to clients with complex care needs. It’s great to have her on board.
Sej has an Indian background and was born and raised in Adelaide. She moved to Melbourne in 2003 to study Law and International Relations at La Trobe University. She previously worked as a solicitor advocate for Victoria Police in their specialist family violence unit, as a paralegal in the family division of the Melbourne Children’s Court for Victoria Legal Aid, and as a volunteer solicitor for the International Students Legal Advice Clinic of the Western Suburbs Legal Service.
Her focus has been on human rights and social justice and she is excited about her new role as the Therapeutic Justice Lawyer. She has a keen interest in learning about different cultures and languages and is looking forward to playing an active role in our community.
